Hi folks:

My name is Lance Hochberg and I’m from Toronto, Ontario Canada. As you can tell from my username, I love all animals! I joined this forum, particularly in response to a poster but after doing some browsing I am hooked. I find the posters here to be especially eclectic and interesting! I look forward to reading your posts and adding my 2 cents with insights and ideas collected from my favourite sites and generally around the web!

Hi Lance

welcome to the forum you'll soon get hooked,

So, did you ever find the snake  hope it wasn't a cobra ;)

do you plan on getting any sals/newts etc in the future? I'm an axolotl fan (love at first sight) but i'm starting to think newt aswell now, particularly Eastern newts, I think they are really pretty.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
