Hello all!
I am a mother of 2, and we are always bringing critters inside to watch them change and then release them back where we found them. Last year we found caterpillars, and this year we found tadpoles and tadpole eggs. I was expecting frogs, but much to our surprise the eggs we found are salamanders! Now we have 4 frogs/toads and 4+ salamanders.
I joined this forum because I have never raised salamanders before, and this seems to be the place of knowledge. I checked our local laws, and it seems that raising salamanders in my area is legal. There are no protected species in my local area. We may even keep one, but I don't know what species we have yet.
Thanks for accepting me! I look forward to meeting all of you. I'll share some pictures of our critters, so watch for that post!
