Hi there! I've been lurking here for a while, reading all the Axolotl info I could find before bringing my two little ones home, and now that they're here, I figured it was time to post!

I'm from Manitoba, Canada, and I am now the proud new owner of two juvenile Axolotls, a leucistic named Hydra, which is Greek for "water", as well as the name of the mythological sea monster Hercules slew, and a golden albino named Drakon, which is Greek for "dragon"!

A couple of lousy iPhone pics of the little ones (hoping to get better ones this weekend):

They look beautiful, and that tank looks awesome! I joined recently too - welcome to the forum! It's the first place I turn when I have questions, and it'll probably be the same for you.

Good luck with your new babies, and fingers crossed there'll be lots of pictures yet to come!

I'm glad you finally joined us :) Firedreams owns the parents of both my juvies and hatchlings (and some now your hatchlings!) in case you were interested. :3

Everyone here has so much knowledge, and everyone's very friendly - this forum is so much better than facebook haha ;)

Once again, welcome :)

Hey you! I didn't know that my babies parents was owned by a member here, that's awesome!

I actually joined a couple of weeks ago, just held off posting until I actually had them, lol! You're so right about the amazing knowledge and friendliness here though, even though I haven't posted until now, I've been reading a TON, and that really stood out to me, right from the start!

my goodness they are so adorable!!!
welcome :D

I also have a couple of siblings of your juvies! Beautiful axies!

Welcome to the forum :)

Just over 3monthes and i have some from the same mom as my juvies that are just over 3weeks
Im on a phone right now that only lets me post 1picture at a time but i can show you tomorow :)

Are yours about 3monthes too or was there another batch after that?

I believe mine were hatched at the end of January, Ashley can verify, as I got them from her! :)

Looking forward to seeing pics!

My juves were hatched Dec 20. My hatchlings hatched January 28th during overnight shipping ;)

Oh wow so there was another batch in between! So many eggs! My juvies hatched dec 20 and my babies hatched march 8th (i had babies hatching on my birthday on the 9th!) so not quite brothers and sisters but still siblings non the less!

Just figured I'd update here. I fell head over heels for one of Ashley's dark melanoid babies, so I added one more to my brood, lol! I have the three of them in my 40 for now, and if things should get a little too crowded when they grow up, I have a 25 gallon handy that I can move the new guy/girl into. :)

So without further ado, here's Kraken! I actually got him/her a couple of weeks ago, but it took me until now to get a decent picture, LOL!
