Hello everyone! Very nice site here, and looks like there's loads of helpful info!
Right now I have a 20g long tank with a channel catfish, a chinese flat tail newt (I think that's what he's called) a leopard frog, and a bullfrog that I raised for the past 3 years since he was a tadpole
Anyways, they're all getting big, and outgrowing the 20 gallon. I recently got a 75 gallon tank and was going to do a salt setup, but my GF came up with some good points as to why it may not be a good time to start a salt tank, so I've decided to turn it into an awesome habitat for my amphibious friends
My mother mentioned something from I think water's edge - a viquarium.. but I can't find anything big enough that'll work.. So, I'm guessing I should scratch build something.
Idealy, I'd like land to cover like 75%, but also have water underneat the land so the creatures can swim the entire length. I'd like a waterfall in the back corner and maybe some type of stream going across the land, and into the water. I'm guessing an undergravel filter for the water part?
ANY ideas/help/direction/tips would be GREATLY appreciated!!! I have a blank slate here, and just want something really nice.
Thanks a lot guys, and looking foward to learning a lot from the site/members.
