Hi,
My name is Simon and I live in London, UK. I first got interested in amphibians when I was very young and collected tadpoles to watch turn into frogs. My dad then built a pond in the garden and I was able to watch all the frogs, toads and newts who visited to breed, as well as other wildlife.
I have always been interested in animals and currently have 4 axolotls. I have had them for about a year and get a lot of enjoyment out of them. I have also been very lucky as I was competely new to keeping them but they have always been in top health. I also like the fact you do not have to feed them live food. I have axolotl pellets shipped from Australia that they cannot get enough of! I also put river shrimp in sometimes (that they do eat) but the surviving shrimp do a great job of keeping the tank clean and are very active unlike their tank-mates.
I also like tennis, ballet and reading and I look forward to posting on this website soon.
Regards,
Simon
