Hi, My name is Kate, I live in California, and I am somewhat obsessed with newts and salamanders (Especially native species!). I currently keep two California newts at home, and I take care of A California Tiger Salamander and another California Newt at the Sacramento Zoo. I know the basics of caring for these critters, but I am hoping to learn more as I would like to try to start a breeding program for native caudates at the zoo.

You're in the right place. There is a true wealth of information on the site per se, and plenty of experience (and adoration of the animals) to be found among forum members.
