I just joined to learn more about Axolotls and see if they would be a good fit for my household and if it is legal to own them in Texas.

As far as I know they are legal in Texas. The big problem is the temperature. You need to keep them below 75. Upper sixties is better. Basements help us in the north keep critters cool. Good luck!
