HELP! Axolotl advice needed please

I have one axolotl named gibby that i got a couple months ago in october. Not so long ago he got sick and refused to eat. I eventually got him eating again (thank god) But all his gill fluff has went away I was wondering if there is anything i could do and if anyone has any idea what may have happened to him and if i still need to do any type of treatments (i was wondering if salt baths would help with his gills) but i am really not sure what to do. Please tell me your opinions

First thing is to know your water temp and parameters. Ammonia, nitrate and nitrite are super important to monitor so test that and let us know.
Do you know what was wrong with your axolotl before?
No need for treatments, gill filaments will grow back if water is cool and clean. Only salt bath if the axolotl has fungus.
