That is a Gecko, maybe a leopard gecko? Not quite sure. It is missing it's tail also. It's not actually a Amphibian at all, a Reptile actually. -Seth

I believe its a Common House Gecko, Hemidactylus frenatus

Yea, not an amphibian. For sure a gecko of some sorts, looks like a house gecko. Not a leopard gecko, leopard geckos don't have toe pads and can't climb surfaces.

That's plausible, its an introduced species found in Dallas and Galveston Counties according to this: Common House Gecko | Herps of Texas.
I think its more likely to be a Mediterranean House Gecko (Hemidactylus turcicus), another introduced species which can be found in the Southern and Eastern parts of the state. http://www.herpsoftexas.org/content/mediterranean-house-gecko.
