Hi, I got an axie around a month ago, and he was doing ok, he is eating and swiming alright, we try to keep his water clean and cool, always below 20C and around 17 °C.

Yestesday he got stressed and scared because of handling, he got stocked in his net while returning him yo his tank after being fed, we had to manipulate him so he didn't hurt himself, beacuse of this his tail curled. He didn't have a curled tail before that.

Is he going to be ok? Will his tail return to normal??? Is he healthy? We are new to all this, so, any help and opinions will be very helpful.

Here is a picture of his tail

Why are you moving him to feed him? Feed him in his tank.

It could be because he is a bit stressed from you handling him. I would advise that instead of handling him, feed him in his tank and suction up the leftover bits afterward. Then he will not be stressed from you handling him, and his tail should uncurl in a day or so. Check out this link: http://www.axolotl.org/images/health/stressed_tail_views.jpg
