Since I put my axie in the tank, there has been a weird slime in there. I have literally had to clean out all of my filter and change the medium in it because the slime was choking it. it has this weird grey colour and has coated my tank. My axie seems fine but I am worried it may cause a problem. He is currently in a smaller tank (just under 2 foot) because I live in Australia and the weather has been really hot for this time of year and it is the only way I can keep my tank cool enough until my chiller arrives. I will be putting him in a larger tank when my chiller gets here and the tank is cycled!! My pH is slightly basic (around 7.2-7.4) and I have a medium in my filter which controls the ammonia and nitrates. I have been doing 30% water changes every week and I clean out all the leftover food everyday.

Does it get a lot of light? I'm wondering what's making it grow.
