I need help fast..I had 6 5 week olds & did a water change & separated them into 2 lots of 3 last night & got up this morning & 5 are dead. 1 is sporadically swimming then resting on his side.

I've put him in his own tub with new water & food but I have no idea how to deal with this! It's my first time rearing lotls.

Help!

I've been feeding them daphnia from pet shop. It's the water I've messed up on..I didn't age it..I'm an idiot.
I'm really upset about my mistake & want to save this last wee guy!

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
