Good morning Everyone, I live in up state NY and i need some expert advise. I looked in the help topics and did not find the answer there, so i have to ask. We have an well on our property that supplies the water to our home and found out last night that there is a black and yellow Newt in the well water. I read on line that they are poisonous. What do i do to treat my well? or do i even need to treat the well? i searched for hours trying to find the answer to no avail. so if you could help me with the answer i would really appreciate it.

all newts or salamanders are poisonous to some degree. but the amount of poison and what kind it is is usually not worrisome. Usually just used to ward off predators from eating them. If you've been drinking it, you're probably safe.
