Hi, Sorry I have not been around for awhile . I have been keeping Axolotls for a few years. My questions is not about them . I have rescued some fire belly toads. They were in a tank just with some pet moss that the people would get wet once and a while. This is how I changed the tank . I put in some bed a beast a large water bowl ( i'am changing the water every day) with moss that I keep moist. They are vary skinny. I gave them some crickets. I was hoping some one could tell me how care for them better. The set up at the moment is not the best it was just what I had on hand. Any tips or help would be great.

What is the temperature?
You don't need a heater or a light with those temperatures. You might want to consider a fluorescent light so that you can see the toads better though. The only point I would make is that you should try to ensure they can easily get in and out of the water bowl - they will spend a lot of time in it.
Thanks for the tips. The set up that they are in now is only till I get the new one put up. It is going to have some sort of land and water with a filter. Not sure how i'am going set it . What else can these guys eat? Small guppies maybe?
Sounds like you are doing ok. Mine eat like pigs on small crickets, but I've not tried
them on anything elae. I would make sure your moss is the same level as your water bowl
plus they have some cork bark to sit on or hide under.

My toad spends about 80% of her time in the water. When she comes onto the land part of her enclosure, she likes to hide under the leaves of a live plant.
She hunts crickets on the land and eats like crazy, as long as they are small enough. She won't eat any other foods, although I've tried red worms, wax worms, and guppies. She will sometimes go after the larger fruit flies, but she far prefers crickets. So, these are all foods you can try, but I'd say you're doing great so far and you gave them exactly what they need.
If you do continue to feed only crickets, be sure to dust the crickets with calcium/vitamin powder!

I recently received 3 CB juveniles, very small, but they are doing great. They have so far accepted without any problems: bloodworms, isopods, earthworms, waxworms (both larvae and adult moths), small feeder fish(gambusia).
