Hi, long, but I really appreciate help!!!!
I'm currently tubbing my axie. He has been battling a fungus infection. I was doing tea baths, which helped. He hasn't eaten in over a week. I've tried everything!!! Pellets, ENC, shrimp, salmon, white fish, duck heart. Seems interested, but then swims away. He's getting so skinny, I'm worried I'm going to loose him. I thought he was morphing because he lost all of his tail fins. Yesterday when I changed the water I used a flashlight on him. Seems that the fungus is all over his body. It was very hard to tell with his pattern.
I started methylene blue bath at half dose according to bottle instructions. For 15 min once daily. He's tubbed with John 's solution. He has been a bit more active since the first methylene bath, but he's still not eating. I have a little fan on the tub, to make sure the water stays within temperature. I'm thinking either the infection is so bad he doesn't want to eat, or maybe it's in his mouth too? I don't have a vet in my city. I've read about fridging, but I've heard it can be super stressful, and I feel that that could be a bad idea in his current state.
Can I alternate treatments, blue, with a tea later in the day? Or increase the frequency of the blue?
thanks for your time in reading my post and helping my axie
