the main chemical that is used to correct a prolapse is sugar, this is either done as a bath or carefully applied to the area of swelling.
the sugar bath would be around 2 - 3 teaspoons.
with applying sugar straight to area a finer sugar might be best to avoid abrasiveness perhaps icing sugar made into a paste and applied with a q-tip, this will need to be done whilst she is out of the water.

i agree. i've never heard the sugar-bath advice before, but it does make sense. hope she gets better.
