No. You don't need to put him in the fridge if he has cool clean water and seems to be doing OK. The fridge will stress him out even more, and the cooler temperatures will slow his metabolism. Fridging should be a last resort.
f he has been bitten it may be an idea to separate him from any other you have until he is healed.
