Hi,
I spent the week-end in Oxford, Oxford is one of my favorite places in the UK. Hours herping gave me a good amount of results. Unfortunately I could't get a pic of the Rana temporia and Lissotriton vulgaris, only the Bufo bufo and the few Triturus cristatus. I was pleased to find the latter. I found most of the Cristatus under cones in a bog like area with deep "squelchy" mud that sucked off my shoe. I found the toad just hopping around. The frog under a log. I also found a load of cool millipedes, I have no idea of the species. The vulgaris was pretty young and didn't look in a good state, it was all bumpy and hud slug slime all over it. As far as I could see the Cresties were all female but I may be wrong.
