Sri Lanka was herpetologically ( as family vacation) very successful (2 aquatic turtle specis, sea turtles , 5 snake species, 2 monitor species , Geckos, Agamids und frogs).

Especially the primary rain forest in Sinharaja was with a perfect guide very successful.

Kangaroo Lizard:

They are really pretty and endemic to Sri Lanka, as many species on this island.

Great pictures! I loved the one with a Lissemys punctata punctata basking.

Thanks for sharing

TY,

I was really impressed by the sun-light reflecting on their plastron. Looked like black metal.
