Hi, i just want to introduce myself. I am rose and i love anything that makes me laugh just by looking at it. For instance, discus, they slay me with their cookie shapes and people mouthes. That is why i saw the axolotl and fell in love. they are so curious to me. i saw one a year ago and have been thinking about them ever since. i picked up a tank and began setting it up a week ago and i am excited to pick up a couple to bring into their new home. I read basicaly this whole site and i am soexcited for my new pets!
See you around the forum!

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
