Hey peoples the name's Trish and i'm very new to this site and haven't got the foggiest bout it lol but i LOVE axies and up until recently had a male and female ... but sadly my female died i'm interested in seeing the different colour variations especially the harlaquins and i've also heard of red and blue axies. Also if any1 knows of any helpful hints on how to keep the temp down in my tank without spending 1ooo dollars on a chiller or dumping a whole lot of party ice in and screwing the PH please let me know! Laters x

Hi Trish,

You've certainly come to the right place to learn more!

First, there are rules about being careful with typing, punctuation, grammar, etc., because a lot of people here do not speak English as their first language and have trouble reading, so when you post in the rest of the forum, please watch out for that.

Second, I have never heard of a blue or a red axolotl. The axolotl site (www.axolotl.org) has a page on color genetics which includes pictures of the various types of axolotls (click here).

Thanks Eva i'll just have to order one then post the pics when i get 1 there are a few places that i deal with that have incredible variations and strange markings i'll keep my ear to the ground. Thanks for all your help!
