Heya people :p,

how is everyone??

im thinking of adopting some axie eggs (just layed)
and was wanting to know what i will need ect...
like how big the tank??
glass or plastic??
plants or not plants??
gravel no gravel??
blah blah blah....

ther will be about 50 eggs all up

if anyone could help would be great.

Cheers

if i were you id go to the axie forum, theres heaps of sub topics, including stuff about what to include in your tank... etc

so yeah... post something there... your most likely going to get more replies on there than here...

:D

Read this http://www.axolotl.org/, then read it again, then think about whether you have the time to raise the new babies.
I havent raised axolotls from eggs but I have read enough posts on here about them. They take a lot of time. You will need to transfer them to separate containers as they grow, maybe 2 or 3 to a container. You will need to provide plenty of live food which can be costly. You will probably lose some.
So really think about it and if you do decide to take them on , Good Luck :D

Hey, yea i have read that over and over.
was just wanting to know size on the whole for a tank fior 50 eggs
and yea i have many tanks as i also breed tropical fish and have tanks for that :D

and i have brine shrimp as that goes towards the trop fish fry
so not a prob on food.
i also have mozy lave?? (sorry cant realy spell lol)
so that will be used when first legs come though
also have bloodworms, and microworms etc

i have baby fish filters that work in low water levels

(just the filter sponges with the thingy on the outside of the tank and the water runs down the glass back into the tank hardly disterbing the water)
so no little fish or axie's get sucked up like the normal filters!!

and i dont realy know this forum yet as i just signed up an hour ago still working things out lol

Cheers

My biggest advice for raising larval axolotls is not to raise more than a dozen. Not only do you have to care for babies (feeding, daily water changes, constant poop cleaning, etc), but you have to think of where you're going to house 50 adults when you can't get rid of them. Having 50 adults is MUCH harder than having 50 larvae. They take up a lot more room.
