Hi All,
I'm Sean from Japan.
In the Last couple of days I've had juvenile Hynobius nebulosus emerge from thier egg sac. I have no experience with hatchlings. How should I keep them and what should I feed them?
Regards,
Sean

Welcome to the forum Sean. I don't have personal experience with Hynobius but most larval caudata can be raised in similar conditions.

This article has lots of good information on raising larvae: http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/raising.shtml

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the advice. I'm trying the pond water method as this is the only one available to me at the moment. All my juvenile Hynobius nebulosus seem to be doing fine at the moment.
Cheers,
Sean

Thanks again for the advice. I ended up using the pond water method and supplemented their diet with frozen blood worms. I was surprised at the difference in size. Some are already leaving the water while others are still quite small. To my next question! What is the best food after they metamorphose and leave the water?
Cheers,
Sean
