thats cool your from Russia. when i use to go there i would always try to find pet shops but i had no luck. the only exotic pet i ever saw was my friends big Russian tortoise that she let walk around the house. Are these a lot of Axolotl keepers over there? how much do they cost?

Yes many get them because they very cool:eek:
about price...the cost for newt about 10 cm in length are 10$ (for Saint-Petersburg it is really cheap...for example chameleon cost are 650$)

It is a pity that at us they such expensive...
I think that the price is high because of illegal transportation and dishonest sellers :nono:

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
