Hi everyone

Just thought I would say hi to everyone. I'm new to the site and to axolotl's. I haven't yet purchased my axolotl, but plan to in the next week. I have my tank and accessories ready to go and now planing to find the right axi for me.
I do have a question though. I live in Hervey Bay Queensland and woundering if I will need a chiller for the summer months. It should be ok for winter, but am worried it may get too hot for summer. Does anyone in QLD have any suggestions as to what they do.

If you can afford a chiller, that is certainly the best option. Having a basement available, or a heavily-AC'ed area of the house available are other good options. I would also recommend setting up the tank to maximize ventilation (evaporation = cooling).
