Hi everyone I have been thinking a lot about getting a salamander hopefully a yellow spotted, I can't say I have to much expiriance with amphibians mostly reptiles but this seems like the best place to find the information I'm probably going to.need thanks

Welcome to the forum Munfy - You've come to the right place for information and the ability to interact with other caudate enthusiasts. As someone new to keeping fossorial ambystomatids, have a read through this caresheet. Although it is tailored for tiger salamanders, information is applicable to spotted salamanders as well:

I have probably been doing research for the past 3 months on spotteds and have read that care sheet probably 3 or 4 times now its been book marked in my phone for awhile, I joined this fourm because it seems to by fair have to most consistent and knowledgable users. Thank you for your response
