[Mr Princess]

Hi! Just joined. I don't currently have any newts or salamanders, but I did have fire belly newts like... 40 years ago.
My name "Mr Princess" is for my bearded dragon who passed away recently. There was a sexing mistake when he was young, so for quite some time he was my "Princess." Once I figured out she was a he, I simply added "Mr" to the "Princess."
Which brings me to the reason for my joining Caudata: I now have an empty enclosure which I am considering for newts; it is 36"x18x18 BUT it has front opening doors, so water level could not be more than 4-5 inches. I was thinking of doing something like Set Up #3 https://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/setups2.shtml and will be posting in the suitable forum for advice on what can thrive in that environment!
BTW it is so worth it to join, just to see all the beautiful pictures members upload!

There are many species that will do well in a mostly aquatic set up like that. I say, keep your eye on the ad section and research what comes up for sale to see it that is an appropriate environment. I would on caudata culture with my research (see links in my sig). Good luck!
