Hi everyone!

I'm a grad student currently living in Atlanta. My boyfriend and I acquired a pair of axolotls last year, extras from a lab. I've always loved animals, but generally preferred the idea of having more cuddly ones as pets (we also have two cats). But it's been really interesting keeping these critters, especially as they've slowly gotten more interactive. This website seems like a very good resource, and I look forward to learning a lot here!

Welcome, Beth. I'm glad you like your less-than-cuddly critters! You'll find lots of information here. As you live in a hot climate, be sure to have an emergency plan for saving your animals in case of a power failure or AC breakdown.
