Hello, my name is Alejandro and I was born and raised in Mexico. I now live in El Paso, TX. and I am a U.S. citizen. I work at UTEP and I have kept herps all my life. I am currently keeping M. a. apuanus, C. e. popei, C. pyrrhogaster, T. dobrogicus, S.s. gallaica, T. karelinii, C. cyanurus and T. verrucosus.
I also breed some tortoises such as A. horsfieldi and T. hermannii. I also have one adorable Goffin's cockatoo and a pair of lovebirds. By the way, I am young, just 48 years old.;)

Welcome, Alejandro! You've got quite the herd of caudates!

We're glad to have you :)

Welcome, Alejandro. You and I can start the Senior Citizens of Caudata Club.;)

Welcome Alejandro. You should have mentioned that you attended IAD this year. It's nice to see people start off as donors with their first post. I think I'm just a little older than you and Jennifer.

Hello Alejandro! My parents came from Mexico when they were young! I was born in Chicago, ILL!

SENIORS?! Phew, it seems I am only 8 years away! 48 is a senior? HAHAHA Well, then as long as I keep my girlish looks like these Axolotls do, I should be just fine! Too bad, I can't regenerate like them, though...now that's an attractive genetic trait! Paula

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
