I Just got my first axolotl hes the one in my profile picture. He was really sick when i first got him, always floating on the suface and he had none of that stuff behinf his gills but he started sinking and looking better but the stuff behind his gills hasnt grown like the pictures of other ones if seen. Deos that mean hes still sick or does it just take along time to grow back.

Hi Mitch, 1 of mine has a similar condition to yours. Check out the posts in SICK AXIE and it should answer most of your questions . Just remember it will take time for them to grow .
