Hi guys

i have been having High temperature issues. i have tried 2 of those TEM Chillers but they performed poorly, consume alot of electrical power and they broken down after a short while. they just stopped cooling!!!
i am looking at Cooling Gel packs as a alternative. does cooling gel packs last longer frozen than ice bottles?

1) my idea is to get a big Styrofoam box stuff it up with many cooling gel packs. connect a tube to a stainless steel cooling coil from my tank to the big Styrofoam box to cool down.

2) another idea is to make a exhaust using pvc pipe and small DC fan on the big Styrofoam box to blow cool air into my tank to cool down.

do you think this is silly or it may work? thanks

Yeah, I think that should work ( if you have something cold in the Styrofoam box, of course ). I have been meaning to try that for a while, actually, so let us know how it works!
