I have met so many wonderful people from this forum! Not locally but I have traveled to PA, VA and OR and met up with hobbyists. Several have come to my house and visited. I have made life long friendships from this site!

The Dutch Newts and Salamanders Association meets a few times a year, while the German Urodela Association hosts a large, weekend-long gathering that attracts people from all over the world, though mostly from Europe. This year, a group of Dutch and Scandinavian enthusiasts also met up with some British hobbyists, and it was a absolutely lovely. I'm really looking forward to the German meeting in Gersfeld this October! Beyond the fascinating caudata/urodela hobby, I absolutely love German food and beer. Cheers!
