Hey everyone,

A couple of months ago I had an axolotl brought home to me. He's a great little guy so I thought I'd share him with you!

Hoshi is 4 years old and was handed to a petshop when the original owner had ceased to care for him. From what I'm told the petshop struggled also, having owned him for 4 months before I got my hands on him, and he was still only a little bit!

He's a little odd looking but I think that makes him even cuter!

Here he is on his first day and now:

The first picture, in that horrid green tub (don't worry he was only in there for a few days!) is his first day home, the second picture is him now. I think he's improving and we're getting there slowly but surely!

Thanks to Crysta recommending the vet she recently took Moomin to, Hoshi will most likely within the next two weeks be visiting them also for a check up. The bump on his head appears to have gone down, but better safe than sorry! I was told it had been seen to but I'm a little skeptical about what I'm told now.

I hope you like him and if anyone actually knows what that bump might be, or at least has an idea, please let me know. =]

wow thats quite a recovery

Good job Erzs he's a gorgeous boy

I love him!

Weird bump though - wonder what it is?

Thanks everyone! He's been really good since day one and always eagerly munched down his food!

I'm not sure what it is Mewsie, but if the vet knows I'll be sure to say let everyone else know. =]

Nice work, Erzs .... Hoshi looks so much healthier now :D

If I may add that 'Hoshi' is such a great name ;)

you've done a really good job on him!!

Thanks! Helps that he's a greedy one!

And thanks Ken, I named him Hoshi for it's meaning being 'star' in Japanese. He looked such a state that I wanted him to have a special name and I felt that was quite fitting! =]
