All four of mine are around 8" now and I believe they were 08' morphs. These have some more to go yet.

First off, this should be in the Advanced Tiger and Axolotl section (I assume so). Second off, AJ, newts are salamanders. They belong to the Caudata family
Salamandridae.

It most certainly should not be posted to that section.

Moved to the Off Topic Section.

Thanks Mitch.

My largest female tiger right now is 11 inches (28 cm) and just over 2 years old. My second largest female is 10.5 inches. My two males are between 10.5 and 11.5 inches. The biggest tiger I've ever seen in person was a 33 cm male (that's over 13 inches long).

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
