OK so Ugly is in the tank and i can't get it to go below 68C

There is no heater in the tank, its in a room that doesn't have heating and its under a window which is always open a bit - is 68C to high a temp or will Ugly be ok at that temp? If now any suggesting as to how to bring and keep the temp down.

You can try frozen water bottles or a fan blowing on the top of the water. I'am not shure what 68c is but here I try to keep it 60-65deg. Hopes this helps

68C???? i hope you mean 68F otherwise he has about half hour to live. and seeing as the weather in uk is around 5C i cant immagine thats right.

anyway. if you do mean 68F then im sure thats absolutely fine. 68F is around 20C so it could be a bit cooler but it doesnt pose any immediate threat, if you have a lid on the tank, try removing it, that would help the water to cool a little.

68 degrees Farenheit equates to 20 degrees Celcius - which isn't all that bad, but if it raises to say 72 degrees Farenheit (22 degrees C) and above; you'll need to impliment what Karrie suggested - ie frozen water bottles (make sure you fill the bottle to 75% full - too full and it will crack later) with water FROM THE TANK :p and the surface fanning.

Or, you could do what I did and spend 600 dollars on a chiller and go through emotional swings, where you're happy your axies are in a constant environment of 15 degrees celcius but cry because your skint :p
