So the UK is having a huge heatwave atm. And next week its going to be 35 degrees Celsius.I'm really struggling to keep my Gallic fire salamander (Calcifer) cool atm and its only like 23 degrees today.I've been using ice bottles and ice packs on the top and side of the enclosure but its not making a huge difference. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I really don't want his health to suffer. I was going to put him in our beer fridge, but i'd have to slowly decrease his current temperature so i dont shock him which will be quite hard.

After placing ice, try to insulate the aquarium with extruded polystyrene (fibran), styrofoam, cork or other similar material. Thus, the cooled habitat will be preserved for a long time. I do this every summer.
