my axolotl has had fungus for a while now and we have just put him in a salt bath and i think she might be dead :(

With my experience when you take an axie out the water it will squirm as you pick it up and want to get back in the water so if you pick it up and it doesn't move..

well does it goe stiff or does the gills curl up is there anything that happens that i should know about?

I can't say sorry :( I've been fortunate enough to not have dealt with an axie death yet. I've always just imagined that would just be able to know

Yes it would go quite stiff, and the back legs turn sort of inwards, like some sort of frog. The eyes glaze and are sorta staring. When you poke it, it won't move like axie, but like a dead thing. You will know.
Ps. I hope your axie is ok, and not dead.

I was going to ask the same thing because I just did a water change in the fridge and my little guy is stiff and the legs and arms are turned in and eyes staring out. I saw a bit of blood in the bottom of the container. Does that mean anything? I'm so sad if this is the end:(

it is dead im really sad i cant get over it but planning on getting another thanks for your help

Oh no, so sorry to hear. It's soooo sad to lose an axie, they are like part of the family :(
