Hi Everyone -
I'm new to the forum, but I had to let you all know that after around 8 years, I'm collecting 2 x axies tomorrow. The tank is set up, I've just done my last water quality test and everything is perfect!
The last 2 I had were given to me when I was a member of ASRA - too many years ago than I'd like to remember! anyway, I'll be settling in tomorrow - I'm very happy at the prospect of 2 new smiley faces.

I know how you feel, I felt like a kid when we went to fetch ours...any questions/ concerns etc let us know..and post us a picture so we can see them in their new home.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
