Hi!! i'm very confused on how many red worms i should be feeding my axolotls, could someone tell me a good weekly routine for my axies, they are 11 months old and are very friendly, when i got them they were in a very small tank, so i think the new giant tank is very new and confusing for them. thanks ;):D

How much you should feed depends more on size than age. They're probably close to full grown at that age though. When they're around 6-7 inches, you can feed them every day or every other day. I've only ever fed night crawlers, which are bigger, but I fed one worm every other day at that size. So you could feed 1 worm a day or 2 worms every other. At 8 inches and bigger you can feed every 2 or 3 days. I'd give 2 or 3 worms.

Have you fed any to your axies already? Some salamanders don't like them because they excrete some nasty stuff as a defense mechanism. You can try soaking them in water for awhile to make them more appetizing.

You want to try and make sure your axies head is about the same width as its body. You can adjust how much you feed depending on that.

Good luck to you and your axies :)

Thanks :)

Yeah I heard about the liquid from the red worms, one of my Axies loves the red worms but the other one doesn't as much and spits them out, the lady who we got them from gave us the red worms, I wanted to feed them earth worms and bloodworms but I took the red worms because I wanted them to have the same diet they had since they were tiny, I've been feeding them once a day, except toothless spits them out. Their body's are the same size (a bit bigger) than their heads.
