Hello,

We have a baby melanoid and I was wondering how often to feed it. It is about 2 inches long now and we have been feeding it brine shrimp and blood worms. We feed it a total of twice a day. Should babies be eating more or less than that? He seems hungry. Also, cutest thing ever, but we use a turkey baster to clean up any leftover food and waste and he likes to follow it around. Is that relatively normal? It seems like he was fed by a dropper or something. And is it normal for it to not know where the food is or have trouble finding it? He swims in circles trying to find it. We have no substrate on the bottom at this point. Thank you! :p

I feed mine two-three times a day. I keep them full on black worms because I have four 3 inchers in my tank I stuff them so they will not bite each other I've been told to feed till there bellies bulge a bit when there that young. I suggest feeding black worms.may keep him fuller longer

I think they pretty much always act hungry!

Mine outright goes for the turkey baster! (I do sometimes use it to scoop food in front of him so he must have that association)
