I have been feeding my fire bellieds live black worms for a while now. The problem is I can't seem to keep them alive for more than like 4 or 5 days. I have been putting them in a tupperwear container with holes in the top and putting them in the fridge. By the 5th day they are all dead.

Changing the water on a regular basis will help out. The water should be treated/aged tap water and should be done everyday to every other. It is important to change the water right after purchase to get rid of any bad water/material.

I put mine in the fridge and change the water about every other day with refrigerated tank water.

I do water changes every day or evry other day, that will ehpl to keep them alive for a while

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
