How to keep water temperature colder

Okay so im thinking about getting a paddletail newt. they prefer colder water temperatures so how do i keep the temp down? about 65 Fahrenheit. if you know of any good websites that have good info on them feel free to post links thanks!

Move them to the basement is best along with AC.

Second best is frozen soda bottles of water.

A water cooler can be used to cool aquarium water. If an aquarium pump is used to push water directly into the water bottle, the flow rate is too fast and the bottle could overflow. Instead, the water from the pump goes into a reservoir inside the tank (excess water can simply overflow within the tank). The water from the reservoir moves by simple gravity (siphon flow) into the water bottle, and then back into the tank."

I was reading this, even though I get the concept, can anyone show me a diagram or maybe provide a better explanation.... kinda confusing. Thanks

Why not run some pipping through a small fridge ? Then you just need find a switch to run a small pump

This had been tried, but the results have been varied. The problem is how to have enough piping to allow enough heat exchange between the tubing and the fridge. If you just run a long stretch of plastic tubing through the air in the fridge, this won't exchange enough heat to make much difference.
