How to tell if your axie is stressed

Just for intrest.
How do i know if an axie is stressed?
What are the symptoms?
How dose their behaviour change?

I just want to know for intrest not because i think my axie is stressed.

Gills curling forward, and curling tip of the tail (usually temperature).

They will also sometimes stop eating and stop acting "normal". Normal meaning if you have a tank explorer and he stops exploring, choosing rather to hide away in a corner - just as an example. They can act almost like they are depressed if you will.

Dan's are the surefire signs though. They can also become stressed from water flow (too fast) and changes in tank parameters in addition to the temp changes as Dan mentions.

I recently got back my other axie I raised as my brother is off on holiday and I need to look after him. Because of the moving he is a bit stressed out and in a new tank, so he hides a lot of the time while my other two axies try and cheer him up.

It would depend on what is stressing the axolotl. Poor water quality, for example, "burns" their skin and makes breathing difficult for them. They can scratch their skin like a dog, swim around frantically, surface often to "gulp" air...

Sometimes when my Axolotls are stressed they will yell at me for no reason.
