I've got an axie behaving strange for some time now(i wrote about it in another thread) and no one seem to know what's wrong except that it might be a neurological disease. But i've got a lot of great tips to rule out things, and I'm starting with parasites. I got something called ektozon to add to the water but am i suppose to just leave the water after or do i have to change the water after a surtain time or something?

Why are you adding chemicals to a tank when you don't have a diagnosis for your axie? Many tank treatments are harmful to axies because they are designed for fish. Unless you get medication from a vet don't add chemicals to your tank. If you have alrewady added it it's normall removed with water changes - change water regularly to get rid of the chemicals.

I agree, axolotls aren't like fish. They don't have scales so their skin is much more delicate. The only chemicals you need to add to your water is dechlorinator.

Yes i know they aren't fish. But he has been ill for a couple of weeks and i've tried everything. I talked to a woman who has a lot of axies and know a lot about them and she thought it either be parasites or brain damages. She recommended this treatment. just want to help him But it might be impossible. I havn't put the ektozon in, wanted some advice here to
We are actually lucky here cause we don't have chlorine in out tap water, so i don't even need dechlorinate it.

I would still use dechlorinator just in case as they also detoxify heavy metals and ones with aloe in also help to protect their slim coat
