Question: Hydra

I noticed today that I have a couple hydra in my tank with my siren. I assume they came from a couple plants I just bought. I was told on a Facebook group for planted aquariums to use No Planaria to kill it. I was advised to take my siren out, dose it, let it set for 3 days so the chemical leaves the water. Has anyone tried this before? Is there a better method to getting rid of it? I've heard some fish will eat it but I'd rather not use a fish and be stuck with it or it just ends up as a meal and I'm back to square one. The hydra that I saw I removed but there may be more hiding.

The problem with hydra is most treatments are harmful to salamanders. I'd do a test run with only one salamander put back in the tank.

I removed the plant that I think introduced it to my tank. The three other tiny hydra I saw on the wood and rock next to that plant, I used the turkey baster suction while scraping it off, so it couldn't send any parts of it out to spread. I have been keeping a close eye on the tank and so far I don't see anymore. I hope I caught it soon enough and I don't need to worry about it anymore. I didn't want to do chemicals for fear of killing my siren. Thanks for all the advice.
