For those interested my final tally of arborea is 115 treefrogs, I have been quite brutal in rearing these , some tads were fed to my young newts others fed to my sons terrapin .As they left the water they were placed in a large viv with live plants and a good depth of potting compost a small coffee jar lid supplied the water, and they were sprayed daily using a hand sprayer on a fine mist. The frogs were fed springtails , fruitflies and pin-head crickets ,greenfly was used from the local trees those that fed great those that died were fed to my salamanders and now I have a young healthy population of tree-frogs that should reach maturity for next year. Hope this helps

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
