Hynobius retardatus spawning

My Hynobius retardatus spawned this week. I had sticks in the tank but they chose a piece of floating cork bark.

Most of the time when I raise Hynobius larvae I raise them communally. I've read where Hynobius retardatus sometimes have big headed larvae that can be canabalistic. Does anybody on the forum have any practical experience with this phonomena?
 
Nice one, Michael. Good luck raising them. Hynobius are high on my list when I get some animals again...
