my mum is making me get rid of my axolotls! she said shes had enough of the mess (gravel, stuff in bath etc) then something about not keepin my room tidy n doing the washing up everyday then something about my attitude towards her...but its only because i dont like her. so my boyfriend is getting another 1.5ft tank and putting liz n hari in it and keepin figi and osy in their current 1.5ft tank. i am gonna try keep cecil and jarred hidden in my room!

good news in my customised fish tank is ready! lol

im either gonna do some serious suckin up to my mum for the next month or so. or wait til she moves to london in a few months (which may be a bit longer than a few months in which case ill go uni next year rather than year after so i can take em uni with me) !!!

Jenny,

Sorry to here about you having to loose your axies.

Im not sure if hiding the axies would be a good idea tho.. I think your mum may go mental!

I'm sure that if they all have to go i would possibly be able to take 1-2 of them for you as long as they are around 7inches or so.

Keep us posted and one thing... we never did get a chance to see them do we get a photo before the go??

Keep us informed..

my new fone came today will take a pic but cant cant of fig n os til go ma bfs house...

thanks for offerin bout takin ma axies but im hopin il get em back eventually so wud rather keep em. my bf wil always take em both if i cant hide em good enough.

wel im going picking up my tank 2moz, so i will completely tidy my room, do loads of housework and text my mum telling her how sorry i am for leaving mess about and my 'attitude' problem etc and beg her to let me keep them and see what happens.

cant see it working to be honest, and i dont really wanna resort to begging and butt kissing.

Life's rough, Jenny. Sometimes begging and butt kissing is the only thing that can pull you through. I've done my fair share of "yes sir, no sir, right away sir"'s. You'll get used to it.

the butt kissing hasnt worked...i worked my a$$ off tidyin al day n she sed its not gona make a difference n i was still doin it wen she came in n then carried on after then she sed to ma bf im suprised shes stil carryin on it aint gona make a difference. then she came to me n sed u can stop now u know n i looked at er wi puppy eyes n sed wel i know i aint gona get to keep em now but i wanna av em back one day. shes going away til sunday so i wil see what she sez when she gets back.

.. .. . .. . .. ... . . . ....

Sorry. I am not used to typing properly as i haven't really done it for a few years, (except for 'stuff' at college) as I have never had anyone comment on being unable to understand what I am saying, apart from yourself and the one or two other people.

Some of us have just been too polite to say anything. Chat room-style "speech" is all right for chat rooms, but it's difficult to take someone seriously when they don't come across as serious when they've got a question.

No offense, but when you constantly use abbreviations/slang/no punctuation, you come across sort of immature and I'm sure you don't want to be taken that way.

Jenny,

If you want answers to questions your posts it helps to post them so people can understand them. If you dont then people cant help.

Its just like speaking spainish when you in a house when everyone speaks only english.

We are only asking as we cant help if we cant understand you.

Ok flexing my powers here:

I decided to let things go for a while to see where it would lead but have now taken the unilateral decision to delete some of the less complimentary posts in this thread.

I think the message has been received by all sides and hopefully we can drop this and concentrate on Jenny's real problem.

How about an update Jenny? Do you still have problem in keeping your beasties?

Well, today I took my remaining four axys to my boyrfriends. He put his tropical fish in a smaller tank and my axys are in his big tank. and the two babies are in a big plastic tank. Twas a rather hectic day!

But, theyre gone! and i'm sad!

Got them some aquarium sand, didn't find any coloured sand but i'm not bothered because theyre not going to be in my room so...

but the water was still a bit cloudy before I left but hopefully it will clear!

I'm still gender confused about all of them and worried they will have babies whilst at his. Elizabeth has suddenly got very fat but not sideways like harriet...Its like her belly really drags on the floor. and it's kind of like two lumps. Harriets clocoa is also getting a bit bigger but not male bigger. (i dont think) but shes rather fat. I'm not to bothered about their gender now though its just causing to much thinking!

With the whole axys not liking moving water so with airating filters it should be covered...both fiji and osy like sitting on top of the filter with half their body hanging over the water that spits out.

how much are you feedding them? you might want to drop back to every couple of days if you're feeding every day. axies are opportunistic feeders, meaning they'll eat anything you give them, even if they don't need any more food. they do this as a natural survival instinct - just in case there's no food available tomorrow, or for the next week!

i'd say just play with the feeding regime a little, you might find every second day is enough for them.

Ive not been to see them since setting them up on sunday but he said they seem really happy. Which isnt suprising seeing as they were back in their small tanks again whilst i was waiting for my big tank. and he says the sand has settled properly and is really clear and that they are all swimming around a lot. im glad theyre happy but it would have been nice if they got to stay with me. my mum has said she will be moving back to london at the latest in six months for definate so yay bring on six months!

jenny where do you get sand from can i get it from exotica i am ment to be goin up next week never been yet so cant wait to see what its like

i got sand from a shop called oasis in manchester. dunno if exotica sell it. you can get it from most places though. try tom whalleys?
