i was just wondering do newts ever take a poop because ive had them for months and ive never seen them poop and if they dont where does all that food go
 
my salamandra do quite big ones

My ambystomids let out poop that would be like me turding out a watermelon. those things are HUGE!
 
Same with my paramesotritons, I thought they were brown smooth stones first - I hadn't put any in there though so I was kind of puzzled...
Anyway took me some time to get over the fact that they cr*p that big.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
