Hello from California.
Could this be a salamander? It’s very thin and delicate, has ann extra-long tail, and big eyes. I have seen slender salamanders before, but they have always been larger. It was unfortunately vacuum packed along with some pre-cooked sausages. The photos don’t show any details other than its shape and size.
